Unlock the Power of Electronic Signatures with eIDAS 2.0!

In today’s digital age, securing transactions and documents with electronic signatures is more crucial than ever. But did you know there are three different types of electronic signatures? Understanding these can help you choose the right level of security and compliance for your needs.

Simple Electronic Signature (SES): This is the most basic form of electronic signature. It includes data in electronic form, which is attached to or logically associated with other electronic data and which the signatory uses to sign. SES is easy to use for low-risk transactions but offers limited security and legal weight.

Advanced Electronic Signature (AdES): An AdES provides a higher level of security than an SES. It is uniquely linked to the signatory, capable of identifying the signatory, created using electronic signature creation data that the signatory can use under their sole control, and linked to the data signed therewith in such a way that any subsequent change in the data is detectable. This makes it suitable for medium-risk transactions.

Qualified Electronic Signature (QES): QES is the gold standard of electronic signatures. It meets all the requirements of an AdES but is also created by a qualified electronic signature creation device and based on a qualified certificate for electronic signatures issued by a trusted service provider. A QES has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature across the EU, making it ideal for high-risk transactions.

🔐 Choosing the right type of electronic signature is essential for ensuring the security and legal compliance of your digital transactions. At WhatsKey Inc., we are committed to leveraging the highest standards of security, including QES, to provide unparalleled protection and convenience for our users.
